Ping Pong!

Project Year

2014

Client

Twenty twenty two

To celebrate its new look, Manchester music and art space Twenty twenty two, decided to host an exhibition of Ping pong themed design, art and illustration.

Lazerian was invited to create something innovative, in its usual sculptural style as long as it related to the theme of ping pong.

As well as reflecting and symbolising Ping pong, the sculptures also had to reflect the world we currently live in

The exhibition aim was to showcase pieces from handpicked creatives to show Ping pong related paraphernalia being used in everyday life.

The art of ping pong

Introducing a dedicated Ping Pong room was another reason to celebrate. In addition, Twenty Twenty Two will bolster its art Exhibitions, with the main room being dedicated to established artists with exhibition ‘Pong Ping’ kicking things off. The Ping Ping room will also have a wall dedicated to up and coming artists and will again rotate on a monthly basis.

The Art of Ping Pong celebrates the popularity and subculture of ping pong by colliding it with all the colour and fun of art.
