“When I first clapped eyes on Gerald, my idea came to me straight away. Usually it takes me a few hours to knock around ideas and a theme. Not for Gerald. I wanted to portray the countryside, which I love. The countryside is a place that many dog owners walk and experience together. I wanted to illustrate the weather being central theme to the dog and owners experience of the countryside. I illustrated the sun on to Gerald’s chest, right where his heart is located. It’s been a great project to be a part of, and I am proud to collaborate with a company that is based in my home town Denton.”
