“My work reflects an interest that I have in the history of animal study, preservation and extinction. I am particularly intrigued by the interface of science and art in a historical and contemporary setting and use this as a starting point when creating a body of work. I frequently use birds for their local relevance in New Zealand and rich imagery to represent these themes.”
